A nine-year old English Cream golden retriever, Ellie is the perfect companion for a real estate agency such as Swallow Properties. Her favorite pastime is to meet and greet people so it’s no surprise that ‘working’ open houses is her number one real estate job.
Ellie’s ‘Top 5’ list of things to do in the Monterey Bay area include:
- Playing ball on Carmel Beach (or any beach for that matter).
- Driving in the car down 17-mile drive.
- Talking to customers at Carmel Belle (if you talk to her she’ll be sure to talk back).
- Going for a hike in Garland State Park. Her favorite is the Lupine Loop. And she especially thinks you should chase the ducks in the river … or throw sticks to her if you see her there.
- She knows this isn’t a ‘thing to do in Monterey’ but she loves it so much, she felt that she had to include it, which is playing with her squeaky toys, especially her hippo and piggy.
Ellie is such a beloved companion and friend to the Swallow’s clients, that she often gets her own Christmas presents.
Ellie also has two sisters, (also known as Jim and Sharon’s daughters, Shannon and Heather) who love her dearly. Heather is a naturopathic physician in Monterey and Shannon is a marketing consultant in Portland, Oregon.
“Ellie has been with us for nine years and she’s the best companion we could ever have,” says Jim Swallow. “She loves people, always wants to say ‘hi’ and is regularly the center of attention.”
Come in and meet Ellie, she’ll make your day!
